ROOTS

EARTH

Our Roots

Each of us has a land, a place to which we feel connected. Often we are lucky enough to be able to live there, other times it is a place of memory that we jealously preserve. For us, this place has the ancient scent of the Marche hills, where memory is intertwined with beauty.

We are in the heart of the Marche, among the slopes that once belonged to the Duchy of Urbino, birthplace of Raphael and cradle of the Renaissance. This is where we have chosen to live, to work, to create. This is where Pantheon Roma has its roots. A landscape made of light and harmony, where every village tells a story and every path leads to a form of beauty.

1234

Pergola

We live and wanted our company in Pergola, a medieval village founded in 1234 by the industrious Eugubini, at the confluence of two rivers. A place suspended in time, which still preserves intact the traces of its past: silent churches, noble palaces, precious frescoes. Among its treasures, two wonders stand out: the famous Bronzi Dorati, an extraordinary life-size Roman equestrian group, and a precious fresco from the fifteenth century that, until 1920, was attributed to Raphael.

A land of perfumes

But Pergola is also a place you can breathe. Its soft multicolored hills instill a sense of deep quiet. Among the vineyards, woods and flowery fields, aromas and raw materials that speak the language of the land are hidden: the Pergola Fine White Truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico), the protagonist for 25 years of a National Fair that attracts chefs and enthusiasts from all over the world, and a ruby red wine with an intense aroma, whose DOC bears the name of the city.

...and colors.

Our woods in spring and autumn are rich in medicinal plants and dye plants. Walking through the countryside, you can also come across ancient stone mills, once used to work the woad, the plant that gave Renaissance painters the most fascinating blue. Even today, plants such as Robbia and Scotano grow in our lands, from which a beautiful purple red and a wonderful yellow can be extracted. All this comes to life in the charming dyers' district, which winds outside the walls of the ancient village, starting from the charming little church of Santa Maria delle Tinte. A corner that seems suspended between art and silence, where every stone tells a story.

It is from this land, so authentic and poetic, that the universe of Pantheon Roma takes shape. A land that smells of history, color and wonder.
